I found a mistake in a video's subtitle. How do I report it?
Thank you for this question, Mingyu Cui.
Technically, if the video has not been added to a team that has tasks assigned to specific people, you can just correct the mistake yourself.
However, some people are a bit touchy about others doing this, especially if they have spent a lot of time on a set of subtitles, because it is the name of the person who dit the last edit that appears on the page of the subtitles. So it's better to send an Amara message to the person who made the subtitles - you can do that via their profile which is linked to in the subtitle page - and suggest the correction, asking if they want to do it themselves or if you can do it.
You can actually do the same when a video has been added to a team that has tasks. But in this case, you should first check that the subtitles are still assigned to their subtitler. If not, you might contact the reviewer or approver. And if the subs have already been approved and published, you could contact one of the relevant language coordinators.
