There are several videos that I want to subtitle through Amara which already have subtitles (not in the language I'm going for) appearing on the video itself. Unfortunately, the Amara subtitles most of the time don't cover up the subtitles underneath. Is there anything I can do to solve this? Is there any way of making the black box that surround the subtitles more opaque and shifting/enlarging the subtitles?
Thanks!

Thank you for this topic, Benjamin
If the YouTube subtitles are "closed captions", i.e. can be switched on and off, you can modify their appearance on YouTube, as explained in the Change caption font and format tutorial.
However, if they are "open captions", i.e. burnt in the video itself, their appearance can't be changed.
