Problem with using Czech characters

In the Czech language, we have many letters with unique symbols, such as ř, ž, č, š, and others. The issue is that I can't use these letters. For instance, the word 'šok' means something different from 'sok.' Is this an issue with all languages that have unique symbols in their alphabets?

Thank you for your question, Danial Hertz.

You can add languages to your keyboard via your browser. For instance in Firefox,  this is explained in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-firefox-another-language.

It should be similar with other browsers.
However, there might be an issue if your OS does not support Czech. In this case, see https://www.czechtime.cz/article/how-to-type-czech-characters-on-keyboard/.

I hope this helps

Best,

Claude

You're right—Czech characters like ř, č, š are essential, and if they're not displaying properly, it's likely an encoding issue; Amara supports UTF-8, so check that your input file or browser is set to UTF-8 as well: https://support.amara.org/support/solutions/articles/40211basketball stars
