The Evolution Of Mobile Application Development

There is no doubt that most people love mobile applications. These apps are convenient and easy to use, easy to access (one-click access) and provide important notifications automatically. Today, millions of people use mobile apps, but only a small number of them know how it all started.

The fact is that experts have disagreements when it comes to determining the exact date when mobile apps appeared. Technically, it was Blackberry that presented mobile apps for the first time. They offered an email client to Blackberry smartphone users. 14 years ago. However, most experts agree that the history of these apps started with iPhone app development in 2008.

Apple is one of the most successful tech companies today. One of the reasons for this success is the fact that they are a mobile app development company too. Of course, the apps found on the popular App Store are produced by other companies too because Apple allows third party developers to share their apps.

So, after the release of the first iPhone, a device that came with some pre-installed apps, the officials from iPhone decided to introduce the App Store in 2008. What is even more interesting is that the history of Android app development started the same year, just a few months later. This was the moment when Google introduced the Android Market which is now known as Google Play Store. The first smartphone on Android platform was HTC dream by HTC.

What is interesting is that the number of downloads of mobile apps on App Store reached one billion after one year. This was definitely a good time to found a mobile app development company. A few months later Android mobile app development market reached another milestone – one billion downloads. This was also the period when different manufacturers presented their first tablets like Apple iPad and Galaxy by Samsung.

Hi Twistfuture,

This looks like a draft of a school essay: did you post it here by mistake, or do you have a question about Amara?

Best,
