When you sign up to Amara, you can either select an email and password of your choice or create an account by clicking one of the social network buttons. If you signed up with the use of a social network account, your Amara account will not have a password, so some actions that require higher security protection will not be available until you set a password. You may also want to reset a password in case you have forgotten it.


You can set (or reset) a password as follows:


1. If you are signed in, open Account page in your profile (by clicking your username in the top right-hand corner of the screen and selecting Account item from the drop-down menu). 



Click reset it by email link under Save Changes button. On Reset Password page, Email address field will be pre-populated with the email address associated with your user account. Click Reset My Password button to proceed:


You should receive an email with a link promptly. Click the link in the email address, on the next screen enter a new password twice and click Change my password button:




2. If you are not signed in, open Sign Up / Sign In page by clicking Sign Up / Sign In link in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Click Forgot your password? link under Sign In button:



On Reset Password page, enter the email address associated with your user account on Amara and type the letters you see on the captcha image to confirm that you are human. Click Reset My Password button.


You should receive an email with a link promptly. Click the link in the email address, on the next screen enter a new password twice and click Change my password button:
