If you have a user account on Amara, but you don’t see your username in the top right-hand corner of the screen, then it is time to sign in!
Click either Login or Sign up at the top right corner of the page.
Two ways to sign in:
Using a social network account
With your username and password
Sign in using a social network account
You can log in with a single click if:
You created an Amara account with social network login information
You linked your existing Amara account to Facebook or Twitter
You must be signed in to your social network account in your browser before you use one-click login. If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to log in to your social network account before proceeding to sign up on Amara.
The Amara site will then search for the user account associated with your social network site login information. If a match is found, you will be signed in immediately. Otherwise, you will be prompted to sign up with the use of this account:
If you created your Amara account with your gmail login information “email@example.com,” you must be signed in to Google as firstname.lastname@example.org in your browser for the Google auto-login button to work.
If you are signed in as “email@example.com” instead, our site will look for firstname.lastname@example.org in the database and will prompt you to sign up with this other account. In this case, click Sign Up page link at the bottom of the panel to cancel the new account creation. Log into the account you used to create your Amara account and try again.
If you created a user account with the use of a social network account, you still have a username and can create a password if you want. You can use either your username and password or you can use the auto-login buttons at any time.
Sign in with Amara username and password
If you signed up with the use of a username and password, enter them in the bottom part of the Sign In panel. Click Sign In to proceed.
If the username and password match an active user account, you will be successfully signed in and you will see your username in the top right corner.
If the password did not match the username, you will be prompted to retry.
Resetting the password
When you sign up for an Amara account, you can either submit an email and password of your choice or use existing login information from a social network site. If you are concerned about your account security or you have forgotten your previous password, you might want to reset your password.
If you signed up using one-click login with a third party site, your Amara account will not automatically have a password. You will need to set a password to access some actions that require higher security protection.
Reset your password on your Account Page
