If you are an administrator of both an Amara Enterprise Team and a Brightcove VideoCloud Account you can create and export subtitles from Amara to Brightcove by connecting your accounts.

Contact enterprise@amara.org to create your own Amara Enterprise Team!

  1. Register Application for your Amara Team on Brightcove

    • Open dropdown Admin menu

      • Click API Authentication

      • Register new application

      • Select accounts for authorization

  2. Save Information

    • Copy Client Secret to secure location

      • You will not be able to access this page again

      • There is no way to recover a lost secret

  3. Select the Accounts for authorization

  4. Choose permissions to enable for this registration

    • In most cases, you just need to get permissions for all CMS API operations

To revoke a client registration, click the “Revoke” link next to the registration. Revoking a registration permanently disables it.

  • When you add a video to Amara, the video title, description, and thumbnail are imported to the team automatically.

  • Video title can be changed manually

    • Managers and administrators:

      • Team > Management > Videos

      • Choose video with checkbox, select Edit from slideup menu

    • Collaboration team members during transcription assignment

Note: Video title and description can be translated by a team member in the Amara Editor. These translations will only be visible on the subtitle page for the translated language.

  • The old Brightcove player does not support https, so Amara no longer supports adding these to Amara. Old Brightcove player videos that were already on Amara prior to August 2017 are grandfathered in and will continue to play on Amara.
