Hi. I set the first subtitle to start at 00:16, which is where the dialogue begins.
In the editor all is fine, but after publishing the video, that first subtitle starts already from the first frame, i.e. at 00:00.
I'm new to Amara and haven't been able to find a fix. Thanks.
Thank you for your question, Anders Uhlin.
I saw the ticket you also created about this issue, so I checked the video, and I am as baffled as you are. Hopefully someone from Amara's tech staff, who answer tickets, will be able to help you.
Meanwhile, you could add a subtitle saying [MUSIC] from 0:00 to 0:16 as a workaround. But you probably want to know why the subtitles start too early (at least I do).
I am having the same problem, as are several acquaintances.
Has there been a solution found for this?
Haven't heard anything yet.
Thank you for referring this. Your ticket #1047403 is still marked "On hold", so it has not been forgotten! The delay means that tech staff are aware of the issue and it is in their workflow.
I hope they'll get around to solving it soon, but bear in mind that with the changes to Amara, there are also other teething issues.
Any news on this issue?
Not that I know of, Craig.
Any news on this?
I (and others) have the same problem. The first subtitle starts showing immediately, even if you set it to start several seconds into the clip. It is very inconvenient...
Thanks in advance!
Sorry about this, Anders and Asa. Anders, maybe you could reply to the ticket you created earlier and tell tech staff that the issue persists?
Thank you in advance,
